Disney Channel Alum Skai Jackson Was Arrested On Suspicion Of Spousal Battery And Is Facing A Potential Misdemeanor Charge

After being arrested on suspicion of spousal battery, Disney Channel alum Skai Jackson could face a possible misdemeanor charge.

On Friday evening, police responded to a domestic incident at Universal Studios Hollywood involving Skai, Entertainment Weekly confirmed through a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Officers listed her as the "primary aggressor," which led to the arrest. The 22-year-old actor was reportedly released hours after her arrest. The case is now in the hands of the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office, who will determine if charges are warranted.

According to Page Six, authorities claim that surveillance footage caught Skai pushing her boyfriend two times. Page Six and TMZ also reported that the couple denied getting physical with each other, with Skai allegedly adding that they are happily engaged and expecting a baby together.

Skai is best known for her role as Zuri Ross on the hit Disney Channel series Jessie (2011–2015), as well as its spinoff Bunk'd (2015–2018).

Skai has yet to address the incident.
