1 month ago 26

To celebrate Pride 2024, we asked the BuzzFeed Community to tell us which actors have such incredible chemistry while portraying these LGBTQ+ couples they deserve an award. Here are some of their top responses:

🚨 In order to show some of their very best moments, there are some MAJOR spoilers in the photos below! 🚨

1. First, Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer as Eve and Villanelle in Killing Eve

Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer lie on a bed in a three-panel scene, with the top panel showing them looking at each other, middle panel them sharing a moment, and bottom panel Comer touching Oh's hair

BBC America

"Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer all day, every day. It looked like they were each other's air."

4. Michael Sheen and David Tennant as Aziraphale and Crowley in Good Omens

Prime Video

"They work together so perfectly that it's one of those rare instances where I love the show just as much as the book. Also, the friendship Michael and David developed IRL is the cutest thing ever."

6. Jacob Anderson and Sam Reid as Louis and Lestat in Interview with the Vampire

AMC / Via youtube.com

"That chemistry is absolutely scorching. Their relationship is an absolute disaster, but you can also understand why Louis stayed for so long because the heat and the connection between them is so intense. The first season had them playing out thirty-odd years across eight episodes, and all the different phases of the relationship, and every single moment was so authentic. They’re utterly phenomenal."

7. Danielle Savre and Stefania Spampinato as Maya and Carina in Station 19

ABC

"There's good chemistry on TV, and then there's chemistry that changes the entire course of a TV show, and that's really what Danielle and Stefania had on Station 19. Their work together as Maya and Carina completely transformed the show (and their characters), and it was just brilliant to watch. For me, Maya is one of the best bisexual characters on TV. Her character arc was just so authentic."

8. Dan Levy and Noah Reid as David and Patrick in Schitt's Creek

CBC

"We all know David is a dramatic person, and we love him for it, and never have we seen Patrick roll his eyes or ridicule his husband for his quirks and insecurities. David is Patrick's safe space when he's nervous about coming out to his parents; Patrick is David's home when it comes to voicing his inner musings that he stifled otherwise.

Their proposal was just about the perfect depiction of this — Patrick choosing four gold rings because he KNOWS David that well, David asking if he's sure because he has difficulty loving himself. MY WHOLE HEART."

9. Tatiana Maslany and Evelyne Brochu as Cosima and Delphine in Orphan Black

BBC America / Via youtube.com

"Tatiana played multiple characters with multiple love interests, and she managed to have chemistry with so many of them (like Alison and Donnie, and Sarah and Cal), but Cosima and Delphine are by far the best."

10. Nick Offerman and Murray Bartlett as Bill and Frank in The Last of Us

HBO

11. Kit Connor and Joe Locke as Nick and Charlie in Heartstopper

Joe Locke and Kit Connor share a romantic moment, touching each other's faces, kissing on the forehead, then sharing a kiss

Netflix

"My favorite couple ever. They are an amazing depiction of young queer love including all the awkward bits that come with figuring it out. I just adore them."

radianttortoise73

12. William Gao and Yasmin Finney as Tao and Elle in Heartstopper

Netflix

13. Rhys Darby and Taika Waititi as Stede and Ed in Our Flag Means Death

14. Jaz Sinclair, Derek Luh, and London Thor as Marie and Jordan in Gen V

Prime Video

15. Oliver Stark and Lou Ferrigno Jr. as Buck and Tommy in 9-1-1

ABC

"I know a lot of people really wanted Buck and Eddie to get together in 9-1-1. But they are so much better as friends, especially now that Buck came out to him and Eddie was so accepting and supportive of Buck's new relationship with Tommy."

16. Andre Braugher and Marc Evan Jackson as Holt and Kevin in Brooklyn Nine-Nine

17. Edvin Ryding and Omar Rudberg as Wille and Simon in Young Royals

20. Nicco Annan and J. Alphonse Nicholson as Uncle Clifford and LaMarques/Lil' Murda in P-Valley

21. Suranne Jones and Rose Leslie as Amy and Kirsten in Vigil

ravenbard

22. Kit Young and Jack Wolfe as Jesper and Wylan in Shadow and Bone

Netflix

"I'm so glad we got to experience at least a tiny bit of their relationship. Jack and Kit brought them to life wonderfully and their off-screen chemistry is truly one of a kind."

undrscoremaddie

23. And finally, Zendaya and Hunter Schafer as Rue and Jules in Euphoria
