Jasprit Bumrah Talks About Learning Different Skills In T20 Format After Taking Fifer In MIvsRCB

The Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah is certainly one the best pacers of the present times and recently in the match against Royal Challengers Bangalore, he once again showed his class by dismantling the RCB batting lineup.

Jasprit Bumrah bowled lethal deliveries in his quota of 4 overs and ended the match with magnificent figure of 5/21. With this fifer, he has become the third Indian bowler and overall fourth bowler to have two fifers in the IPL and he has also become the first bowler to do so against RCB.

Bumrah started with sending Virat Kohli back to pavilion and then he dismissed the RCB skippr Faf du Plessis who was looking well-set at the score of 61 runs. After that, Bumrah dismissed Mahipal Lomror and Vyshak Vijay Kumar for golden duck each and Sanjiv Chauhan for 9 runs.

With this fifer, Jasprit Bumrah’s count of wickets has gone to 10 and now he is the purple cap owner of the tournament.

Though Jasprit Bumrah won the Player of the Match award, he was still very humble and during the post-match presentation, he said that he was very happy with the outcome but he never thought of taking fifer. He said that wicket was sticky during the first 10 overs of the match and it was one of those days when things worked in his favor and the players got catches in their hands.

He also emphasized on the need of having different skills for a bowler, he said that this format is already very harsh on the bowlers because of which they need to learn different skills and it is almost impossible to survive with just one skill. He added that nowadays everyone is doing research so he has also tried to train himself in different skills.

Jasprit Bumrah further stated that whenever he performed poorly, he watched videos to understand what went wrong and he does his research and finds out where the batter is strong. He concluded by saying that a player doesn’t need to use all the tricks in one day and there is no place for ego in the shortest format.
